Popularization of survival shows can play a factor, too. Much like the “CSI effect,” where crime shows have led to many criminals being more knowledgeable about forensic evidence in the real world, survival shows have done their part to disseminate survival information. However, those shows are often heavily scripted, leading to perhaps a skewed view of survival situations. So, what IS the best way to prepare?
