Parking a Home In a Trailer Park and Other Goodness
The 136-square-foot home can run completely off grid with rooftop photovoltaic panels, solar batteries, a propane tank and a tankless water heater.
That’s quite the well-designed house, and the woman who commissioned it even played a part in its design, especially the storage spaces. As our “tour guide” says in the video, “This is one of the smallest houses we’ve done, and ironically it has the most storage.”
And this home has plenty more to check out. They say it could work as a two bedroom house! It also contains a front deck that “adds square feet without adding square feet.”
That may be cool for this house in particular, but what’s even cooler is that this is all part of a trend. As our tour guide/builder says, the price of getting solar power for yourself is going down, and the tiny home movement is continuing. “It’s becoming a lot more common that people are using these to go out in nature and just kind of get away from it all and live off grid.”
