This toaster is both simple enough and complicated enough to be part of a college project – because that’s exactly what it was designed for.
It turns out that a hollow brick’s natural shape and structure is quite convenient for heating!

This minimalist toaster was specially designed for pita bread. It is made with a cement cinder block, two rebar rods, an electric heating element and a piece of wood. Designed by Adi Zaffran from Bezalel Academy of Art and a Design graduate.
